For many years, UMCC has collected aluminum cans for recycling to benefit our church education fund. Sandy and Gary D have generously and faithfully seen to the cans, taking them to be recycled, and using the funds to purchase educational materials for our Sunday School classes.
Unfortunately, the monetary value of recycled aluminum has dropped significantly over time, and the benefits of collecting cans no longer match the space and effort required to continue. As such, Trustees has decided to discontinue the program.
We encourage everyone to continue recycling aluminum on an individual basis, and thank Sandy and Gary for their service over the years.
