Worship Schedule

Worship services are Sunday mornings at 10:15 am, both in person, and online. Nursery care is provided.

To comply with CDC and WHO recommendations as well as our bishop’s direction regarding the prevention of the spread of COVID-19, we have taken these precautions:
  • We have opened our doors again for in-person services! However, please observe social distancing between household groups, and wear a mask. If you prefer to worship from home, our services will continue to be live-streamed Sunday mornings! Visit our Livestream page on Sundays at 10:15 am.
  • The UMCC office is closed, except for scheduled appointments. We are working remotely, and you can still reach us via phone, email, or the contact form on this website. Please don’t hesitate to contact us!
  • Many of our ministries and regular events have started back up, but Covid-19 precautions remain in place, and you may be required to wear a mask or observe social distancing practices.
We appreciate your consideration and patience during this difficult time. Please contact us by phone or email if you have any questions or concerns.

I'd like to express my gratitude to the congregation of UMCC for welcoming me into the family when I became office manager. I have enjoyed working here these past six years, and I will never forget the kindnesses and encouragement so many of you have shared with me.
Although I’m sad to have to leave, the good news is that Pastor Jim seems capable of handling the admin side of things as he has done at all the churches he previously led.
I'm not sure what the world has in store for me next after this unexpected departure from a job I loved so much, but I have faith I'll be led to wherever I'm needed next.
I wish all of you the best, and for the church to prosper, and to continue bringing a little more goodness into everyone’s lives.
Thank you, Abby
PS: Office kitty Eliza (bane of church mice everywhere) also says a fond farewell!

We all want to be generous, but most of us find this hard to carry out. Demands on our time and money make scarcity a real problem. Marketing creates a compulsion to buy things that are new or the latest version of the old.

Instead of enjoying the freedom to bless others with the best of our lives, we feel trapped. We are held down and held back by forces that seem beyond our control.

But there is good news! Jesus offers us a way to defy gravity and break free from the culture of more.

The key to all of it—and the key to Christian discipleship—is generosity. When we follow Jesus, we develop a spirit of generosity that makes us eager to give.

It’s not about should or ought to. It’s about want to. It’s about overflowing with love and the desire to bless others as Jesus blesses us.

Join us on October 31 as we begin Defying Gravity, a four-week stewardship program that explores what the Bible says about how to experience a generous life.
