Last year, in the Fall, we were deeply involved in a Capital Campaign to pay off our mortgage and make major repairs at the church and parsonage. We were blessed with a successful campaign and have new heating controls at the church, a new roof and bathroom at the parsonage. Plus, we “burned our mortgage” this spring.
But the work of the church continues. We need about $337,000 per year to keep up normal functioning of the church: to pay staff, to support local ministry partners, to pay insurance, to decorate for Christmas, and keep the lights on and the parking lot plowed. And, in addition to financial contributions, our church needs laypersons willing to serve, to give of their time, and to share their gifts. It’s all needed to keep the church running.
So, in addition to financial stewardship, we want our members and friends to be “ALL IN” for Jesus, offering their time and their talents as well as financial gifts. In worship, there will be an opportunity to pledge your service and talents. We’re meant to be “ALL IN.”
If you don’t worship with us in person and would like to talk about ways you can serve and offer your gifts beyond your finances, please reach out to the church office (office@umcchugiak.org).
Below you’ll see a form for the financial portion of our commitment to discipleship.
Your Finance Committee is seeking estimates of giving for 2026 recognizing that everything we have is a gift from God and then we share from what we have to meet the needs of ministry. Giving to the church is one way we show we are “ALL IN.”
We pray that God would bless what we have to offer and together we’ll find ways to be ministry in 2026 in the Chugiak-Eagle River area and around the world.
