It’s a very sad day today as The United Methodist Church of Chugiak said “goodbye” to CCS Early Learning. CCS is a Head Start Program that has been affiliated with our congregation for many years and they moved back into our building just a few years ago.
However, federal funding streams have changed and this branch is closing its doors, with most of their staff and classroom furnishings headed up to “the Valley” to the Meadow Lakes area.
We wish CCS well and we’ll be looking for other ways to minister to the underserved populations in our community.
We now have a lot of space that is available for whatever God has in store.
