Pentecost Sunday takes place 50 days after Easter. It is a day when we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit to the church. Many consider this the church’s birthday. We have a lot going on this day:
- Bring in any Windchimes, Windsocks, or Pinwheels for the front lawn.
- WEAR RED — As we symbolize the coming of the Spirit.
- We’ll have a Picnic Pot-Luck afterwards to turn Pentecost (which is “the birthday of the church”) into a party. Bring in any lawn games you might have an your favorite picnic foods.
