This year UMCC has again been challenged to contribute 300 cans of yams for the Great Thanksgiving Blessing project. In previous years, we’ve asked for cans to be donated at the church, but this year we need to do things a big differently. We’ll be collecting “virtual cans” and buying the actual cans in bulk using the monetary donations we receive. To donate, please visit our website’s giving page, where you can choose to make a one-time donation.
You’ll be asked to sign in to Touchpoint – our online giving management system. From there, just enter the amount you’d like to donate to “Yams of Thanksgiving” and complete the transaction. You can also mail a check, if you prefer (UMCC, PO Box 670421, Chugiak, AK 99567). For reference, each can of yams cost about $1.69. Thank you!
