CCS Christmas Giving is Back!

The holiday season is upon us and (like almost everything else) this year’s sign up for Christmas baskets for the Chugiak Children’s Services (CCS) families is going virtual.

The Elks Club has kindly stepped in to manage the food this year, so we are doing gifts only. Just 11 families this year and, as usual, the requests are quite modest.

Due to software limitations, I have set the sign up to ask the folks sign up for an individual rather than each individual gift. The ask is that each kiddo get at least one toy or “fun” gift and otherwise, give as you can for the rest of the gifts.

I have a small army of shoppers at the ready if you prefer to make a cash donation and have us do the leg-work. Please see the UMC Chugiak website for a link for monetary donation (will be active as of Wednesday 11/25).

Dropping off gifts may be a bit complicated as there are no in-person services. I am happy to receive at my home (in Eagle River) or arrange a contactless pick up at yours. Wrapping the gifts is optional, but please do mark them with family number and family member if you do. Please contact the church office before dropping them there, to ensure safe arrangements can be made.

Finally, due to scheduling with CCS, there is quite a short window on the whole event. Sign ups will close 12/6 and we kindly request all gifts be delivered or picked up no later than 12/10.

PLEASE reach out to me directly for any questions or concerns using the form below.
