Welcome the Doepken Family with a “Pounding”

As the Doepkens move into the parsonage, help get them started with essentials for their pantry and household.  The traditional “pounding” referred to a pound of non-perishable staples such as flour, sugar, coffee, as well as cleaning supplies and home goods.

We invite you to donate a “pound” of something to welcome them. You are not limited to, but can certainly include foodstuffs, such as a pound of flour, coffee, nuts or chocolate chips. Frozen and refrigerated foods are also welcome.  Feel free to also contribute nonfood items, maybe office or garden supplies, paper towels or tp. You are only limited by your imagination! Feel free to include a note saying who the pound is from.

We will collect items in grocery bags in the lobby through Sunday, June 27th.  You may also arrange with Sandra L to deliver or have items picked up.  The bags will be delivered to the parsonage after church on the 27th in preparation for the Doepkens moving in on Monday the 28th.  Freezer and Refrigerator items can be stored, (labeled, please) in the Supreme Bean kitchen (the “old kitchen”) or by special arrangement.
