Our summer worship series begins on July 12th. It is an exploration of other denominations on the Christian “family tree.” We’ll explore eight different “branches” of our faith, exploring some of the gifts we receive from them.
This will also be an opportunity to have members and friends of our congregation share some of the blessings they have received from other churches in their life. The Catholics may have taught them to pray. The Lutheran Church may have instilled an appreciation for the sacraments. The independent Baptist Church of their youth may have made them appreciate faith and a personal commitment to Christ.
Each week we’ll explore a different prayer from the tradition we are looking at.
All of this is to live into the “MANY PATHS” part of our mission: “Many paths. One table. Christ at the center.” We recognize that we come from many spiritual paths in our church community, and we can learn when we recognize the blessings we’ve received along the way.
